Having completed our first ever workshop week and written biweeklies for next week, we will officially be starting Biweekly 1 on Monday! One thing to note about the schedule is that we’ve decided to keep the “social emotional learning Fridays” format that we adopted last spring. We observed that spending one day each biweekly doing only Creative Writing, “Mathtivity”, Skills Workshop, and then a Fun Friday Activity had a positive impact on our students, and we are going to try it out for a full school year to see if we will keep it as a permanent part of our schedule. The other nine days of every biweekly will be more focused on academics, including Academic Work Time, Science Class, and Humanities Class.
