School News

This week at Four Winds School was Halloweek! We had a cozy, rainy day in pajamas on Monday and saw some crazy outfits on Tuesday. Students enjoyed a day off on Wednesday while teachers had professional development workshops in the areas of suicide prevention and CPR. On Thursday some kids dressed up as each other, and in science class students continued their taxonomy mini posters.
Today we have some great Halloween costumes at school! In Mathtivity, students built their own abacuses and in Skills Workshop students are continuing to discuss implicit bias. (If you’re interested, you can take implicit bias tests here.) Later today we’ll do pumpkin carving and then end the week with Cleaning Day. Next week students will finish Research Paper 1: What Makes Us Human as well as The Boy With the Bronze Axe by Kathleen Fiddler. Have a great weekend!
