School News

This week in humanities class we finished our unit on the holocaust, and transitioned to discussing Japanese internment camps in the United States, as well as other Japanese/American relations at the time, including Pearl Harbor and the Atomic Bombs. Students have started working on their Holocaust reading response outlines, and will write their essays next biweekly. In Mathtivity, students worked in groups to solve a problem about ice cream scoop combinations, and in science, students will continue their study of magnets and start to think about the periodic table of elements. Also, today (Thursday) will be our last day of remote school!

We’ve really been enjoying our in-person Fridays, and are looking forward to being fully in-person by Thursday, April 1st. Here’s our upcoming schedule:

  • Friday, 3/26 will be the last in-person Friday with the schedule that the kids developed.
  • Monday 3/29 – Wednesday 3/31 = No School so the teachers can prepare.
  • Thursday April 1st and Friday April 2nd will be fully in-person school days! We will use this time to review rules and expectations, the new schedule, and to set up the tent.
  • Monday, April 5th will be the first day using our new fully in-person schedule! See our covid page for more information. 🙂
