This week in humanities class, students learned about the history of suffrage in America. Skills Workshop on Tuesday was a follow-up to this lesson, and included information about voter suppression in the United States, and ways in which we can help out with this issue. In science class, students learned more about plant growth with another online simulation, and Wednesday’s optional baking activity was Zucchini bread. Friday’s Mathtivity was about rates, and speed in particular.

For their efforts this week, students earned 159 beans for the jar! 97 beans were earned for completing academic assignments, and 62 were earned by engaging in creative/enriching pursuits. Some students are working with Becca on a cooperative creative writing story, while others continue to work on baking, gardening, and other projects at home. 🙂
