School News

This week in Humanities class we wrapped up our semester-long prehistory unit! When we come back from the break, students will choose the ancient civilization that they will each be studying for the rest of the school year. In science, students wrapped up their genetics unit, and will be starting anatomy on Tuesdays in January. On Thursday afternoons through February 10th, Brian Melanson from Whole Children/Milestones will be leading our annual health class! He says, “This year in Health Class, students will explore types of relationships and the boundaries, expectations, and power dynamics they carry. Peer relationships will take a special focus as students deepen their understanding of healthy relationships of all kinds.”
Thank you to everyone who sent in teacher presents or other goodies today, we really appreciate it! This morning in Mathtivity students did activities to learn about the Fibonacci sequence, and in Skills Workshop they continued their activities around budgeting and finances. This afternoon we did compliment sheets, enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate, and then watched the Polar Express!
