School News

July was a busy month at Four Winds School! Many students attended and enjoyed the 2019 Summer Writing and Art Camp as well as the July Open House / Eloise’s Going Away Party.

Camp 2019

The 2019 Summer Writing and Art Camp was a great success! Campers wrote, created art, played, socialized, swam, and had fun!

We ended the week with a gallery showing and family potluck.

Open House / Eloise’s Party

At our July Open House we said good bye and congratulations to former teacher and director, Eloise Michael. You can read about her on our brand new “Directors” page!

August will be a quiet month here at Four Winds, consisting mainly of Hattie and Becca preparing for the 2019-2020 school year! If you have any questions for either of them, please don’t hesitate to ask! The teachers can be reached at fourwindsteachers@nullgmail.com. (Learn more about the teachers at Four Winds School on the “Meet the Teachers” page!)

Upcoming Dates and Events

  • This Weekend (Saturday, August 3rd and Sunday, August 4th from 10am-6pm): Pocumtuck Homelands Festival at Unity Park! Since we spent all last year studying local Native Americans and their culture, this highly relevant and cool looking festival might be of interest. Click the above link to learn more!
  • Thursday, September 5th, 8:30am: First Day of School! We will be taking a field trip to the Morse Hill Outdoor Education Center for a day of getting to know each other and team building.
  • Monday, September 9th: Parent Meet’n’Greet 3:30-4:30! This is a great opportunity for new families to integrate into the community, for parents to discuss things such as carpooling, for everyone to meet the new teachers, and more!
