School News

This week, students started reading The Boy With the Bronze Axe by Kathleen Fiddler and began writing Reading Response 1: The Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis. In science, students extracted DNA from strawberries and discussed the requirements of life (and if viruses fulfill those requirements or not).
Today in Mathtivity, students asked and worked to answer the question, “How do we know how old things are?” (Pictured, Althea and the students discuss the ages of trees, rocks, and people.) In Skills Workshop, students are continuing their implicit bias work, and at 1 o’clock today Lizzy’s dad Chris will come to lead a 2-hour nature walk and science activity!
